Tons of news after a long absence.
I have relocated countries and will be here for the foreseeable future. Moving caused the loss of a ton of my creative tools, so I am in the process of rebuilding my art supplies. I have managed to procure a typewriter as of last week, so new typewriter work is on the horizon.
My international move has been eye opening and has caused a good amount of assessment on things that are important and things that come and go has time passes. I have had hard lessons in letting go, and a hefty dose of insight regarding necessity and excess. As the cicada sheds its shell, sometimes we need to leave behind the things that no longer actively serve us to move on to the next stages of our adventures.
I am very happy in my new location and have set to work repairing an old fence in my backyard. I have dirtied my hands in the soil, wriggled with the slow worms, and sang with the blackbirds in the dead of night. I am also slowly learning to make some decent sounds out of my newly acquired guzheng, which is an instrument I have wanted for nearly a decade.
The plan going forward is to be more regular with the updates on this website as well as posting to this featured blog. I hope to make this more of a central hub going forward, as it is getting more difficult to maintain the plethora of social media accounts I find myself in possession of. There will likely be music coming out sometime later this year, as well as new visual art projects to look forward to. I have also spent a good amount of time in my absence working on a new novel, which I hope to share more information about when the time is appropriate.
Finally, I hope this finds you well and I thank you for your continued support. Stay groovy.
